An energetic Research Assistant/Masters student is welcomed to join us at KANZU Research for an international research project known as NEWTON FUND-INSTITUTIONAL LINK led by Dr. Noralfishah Sulaiman from KANZU Research (Estate + Facilities Management) and Dr. Udaya Kulatunga from the CENTRE FOR DISASTER RESILIENCE (CDR), University of Salford, United Kingdom.

 

The objectives of this project are:

 

(1) To develop built environment (BE) specific strategies for adaptation and mitigation of climate-induced Extreme Weather Events (EWE); 

(2) To constitute academic and professional best practice Disaster Knowledge Bank (DKB) through the development of CPD programme, curriculum evaluation, and professional involvement; and 

(3) To develop a long term national and international collaboration of academics, practitioners and professional bodies to enhance Disaster Research & Development Agenda in Malaysia.

 

This GBPXXX,XXX.00 NEWTON-UNGKU OMAR FUND is funded collaboratively by BRITISH COUNCIL, working with the HE International Unit + the Royal Society, United Kingdom in partnership with the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Education.
